YARD WASTE Collection

If you are in need of special services such as backdoor pick up or a smaller sized garbage tote please call City Hall @ 293-4141.

Yard waste will be collected on Tuesday. All grass clippings, leaves must be bagged or in a container not exceeding 33 gallons. Limbs cannot exceed 6" in diameter or 5' in length and should be neatly stacked or bundled. There is a limit to the size of the pile -- no larger than 5 cubic yards. If there is a question about this please  call @ 293-4141.

Trash Taxi WILL charge you for construction debris.

In order to help Trash Taxi comply with the requirements of the Polk County Landfill, PLEASE DO NOT mingle/mix ANY YARD TRASH ( limbs, clippings, grass, etc ) WITH YOUR HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE. Yard trash and household garbage must be disposed of separately in order to avoid penalties at the landfill.

Household garbage collection is done citywide on Fridays. Please use ONLY the Blue Garbage Tote that is provided by the City. It is the ONLY one Trash Taxi will empty. You can purchase a second tote from the city at the cost of $64.20. The one you purchase will be your property.

Bulk item pick up MUST be called in - Please call 293-4141. Bulk items included but are not limited to anything to large to fit in your blue tote, old furniture, over sized boxes, the amount of boxes if you are moving in or moving out, etc.
